I've seen at least two eps now where Randy seems almost disinterested or is too slow witted to help out, or gets in the way of Earl's quest. But in the end, he helps out (usually without Earl knowing where he is, or what he is doing); and saves the day.
Earl always thinks of a way to right things, and uses his heart and his money which helps immensely, but Randy uses what little God gave him and finds a way to contribute at the best time! You gotta love Randy, he's the brother you always wanted, you feel like you're smarter than him, but you would never quite have as much heart as he does.
